Year-to-Date Trend - Condos
The year-to-date sales mix for Dane County condos through the month of December was 21%, up from the sales mix of 20% through December of 2011. The year-to-date sales mix for Dane County homes through the month of December was 79%.
Recent History - Condos
In the year 2000, 18% (a little less than 1 in 5) of all buyers chose condos. In 2006, 27% (just over 1 in 4) chose condos. The condo sales mix fell every year from 2006 to 2012, but that trend reversed in 2012. We believe the condo sales mix will continue to rise in 2013 as more and more buyers embrace the Madison area condo market.
